He loves to drink tea, eat takoyaki, drive his editor, whom he affectionately calls "Miichan", to tears by feigning the non-completion of his work, sleep late, and smoke cigarettes.
He's a jokester who occasionally gives advice or purposely stirs up controversy for the good of everyone in the end.

unscramble the codes
Hatori went for a visit today. I asked him to stay for a little while so that we could have a little chat. Since he didn't have anything to do, and he did stay for a while. "I saw Kana with her husband at the Sohma Hotsprings while I was on vacation." Hatori became quiet -- extra quiet. "Right? More like left, if you ask me. She left you the burden. Ayame's right, she should be the one suffering, and not you." "*chuckles* Thanks.""The truth is... I want to tell you something." I uttered.
It'a a rather sensitive topic. I think it would uncomfort Hatori if someone else finds out. Besides, it's not like anybody would be interested.
"Well, since we're here, why don't you tell me?" then Tohru-kun gave us cups of tea.
"Thank you, Ms. Honda."
"Uhm, Tohru-kun, is it okay if I tell you to buy the things on the grocery list?"
"Of course! Soueba! I'll check on them right away. " she said. And hurriedly ran upstairs for some change of clothes.
Hatori is such a withdrawn man. He keeps his emotion for himself and does his best to keep it intact. It's one helluva task. He's able to maintain his composure while the pain lives inside his heart. He is in pain, he doesn't choose to show it to his close friends. What I'm afraid is that the pain might fill Hatori up. He might go on a rampage... Nah.
"Shigure. She has a family now. It's only right that she's with her husband. Don't worry. I'm okay and it's time to move on."
I'm just hoping that he would tell us what he really feels about Kana's new family.

back to the pool
Glad that's over. It's only April and I can still enjoy the summer break. Sigh. I'm tired. It will really help me if there won't be any upcoming projects after my previous work. Oh yeah, it will really really help me if I could buy an airconditioner. It's getting hotter and hotter as the days pass by. "Mii-chan, there's no point in making excuses. Here are the transcripts and papers for the printing press."
"Hmmm... too suspicious. What's the catch?" I felt uneasy with her long stare.
"Nothing. Now, you just hop along and get them published." See, I told her that I'd publish two books, but, to tell you the truth, I've managed to finish three. I guess it's safe to keep it a secret. Let's just reserve the last one for the future.
"Hop along?"
"Yup."
"You make it sound like I'm a preschooler." like a bunny, Mii-chan.
"Yup."
