Shigure is the dog of the zodiac and the owner of the house where he, Tohru, Yuki and Kyo live. He is a writer who writes both academic books and romance novels under many pen names. His most common and celebrated is "Karitani Noa" from his erotic "Summer-Colored Sky" novel.

He loves to drink tea, eat takoyaki, drive his editor, whom he affectionately calls "Miichan", to tears by feigning the non-completion of his work, sleep late, and smoke cigarettes.

He's a jokester who occasionally gives advice or purposely stirs up controversy for the good of everyone in the end.

it's all good. it's all good

Lucky! I finished my Christmas novel just in time. That was a close call. Too bad I've been writing all this time while the guys are preparing for the season. It's refreshing to see them help each other while they hang decors and stuff. I wanted to join them as well. Hmm... but I'd also become tired if I join them. Maa, it couldn't be helped.

My novel's about a lady who lost his child when she was giving birth. It was the day of Christmas when the miscarriage happened. Of all the days, she searches for reasons why the tragedy happened during Christmas. It's not a tragic story but a story that no matter happens, you have to move on and not to loom over the past.

When crossing a road you have to look left and right and the path before you and act and you shouldn't look back -- or else you might be run over by a speeding car.

It's a simple story if you ask me but it's a good idea to keep it that way since it's for the holiday.

the Christmas rush

Deep breathe. Exhale. There's a lot of work compromised due to having so much sideprojects. I'm beginning to wonder if I could possibly make it before the twentieth of December.

I'm supposed to publish a Christmas novel this... yeah you guessed it right. Valentines Day. I hate redundancy. With all of that said and done: I'm just itching to get this over with and move on.

However, I'm feeling confident, even though I'm wondering how the work would turn out, that I'll see my Christmas novel this Christmas at the local bookshops. The kids will love it!

On another note: I think we're having an electrical problem inside the house. I keep on hearing a buzzing sound at the living room. I don't know if there's something wrong with the ceiling light or it's just too quiet in my house. Wait... did I just say quiet?

Soueba, it's awfully quiet inside my humble abode. How come? I wonder. Gasp! Masa ka! Yuki and Kyo -- could they possibly got along?
"I said candy canes, not gummy bears! Now how could you possibly misinterpret candy canes from gummy bears? Taka. Stupid rat." Ahhh, the sweet whine of Kyo. It's like punk-rock-metal-rap music. You won't know how to cherish it, until being a punk-rock-metal-rap fan. Too bad I'm not.

"Please quit your whining, baka neko. You didn't even help us at the grocery. At least appreciate the ones we have."

"Tadaima!"

"Oooh, Tohru-kun! Okaeri!" Oops. I guess it's a false alarm. The house is alive again! Poor Kyo not being able to go with them. He's so busy spending at the high school grounds preparing for the Christmas presentation. It's a miracle. Yuki is free from work while the cat is dragged in. "How did the shopping go, Tohru-kun?"

"Hai. I guess it went well. Here's for you, Shigure-sama. Kagura-san bought them for you."

"YOSH! Gummy boars! Want some, Kyo??"
